The development of *Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2* has been a long and complicated journey. Originally announced in 2019 as a sequel to the beloved first game, it has faced numerous obstacles, including changes in developers. However, we finally have a new and hopefully firm release date!
First announced in 2019 with an initial release slated for 2020, the game, then developed by Hardsuit Labs, was pushed back to 2021 to allow for further development. Published by Paradox Interactive, the game was delayed again in 2021, and the development team was replaced with The Chinese Room. They initially aimed for a 2024 release, but that too was missed, resulting in another delay to the first half of 2025. Now, with the latest announcement, the game is targeting a release this year. However, the release window is now slightly different.
The latest information reveals that *Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2* is now scheduled to launch in October of this year. The game is expected to be released on PC via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, as well as on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
According to the game’s producer;
“Paradox Interactive and The Chinese Room are committed to delivering this game, and we believe that ensuring excellent technical quality is more important than sticking to a specific date. The game is currently in a late stage of development, and community feedback has been taken into account during this period. *Bloodlines 2* will be released in October 2025 when it meets the technical quality standards that our fans rightfully expect and deserve.”
