Skull and Bones Reveals Exciting Year 2 Roadmap: PvP, Land Battles, and Kraken!

Ubisoft’s long-awaited pirate adventure, Skull and Bones, has unveiled its Year 2 roadmap, promising a treasure trove of new features and content. The game’s future is looking bright with four seasons of updates planned, including highly anticipated PvP battles, epic land combat, massive new ships, and even the legendary Kraken!

Skull and Bones Set to Strengthen with New Roadmap

Season One has already introduced the “Item Ascension” system and challenging “World Tiers.” However, the season’s highlight is the upcoming “Death Tides” PvP mode. Players will clash in four new arenas using pre-built ships or their personalized vessels. While no firm release date has been announced, the update is expected in late May.

Beyond PvP, the biggest buzz surrounds the arrival of land battles in Season Three. Currently, players can disembark from their ships but interactions on land are limited. The new system will introduce sword fighting, pistol duels, and even zombie pirate encounters! Ubisoft has teased these features with a brief gameplay video.

Even More to Come: Frigates and the Kraken!

According to the Year 2 plan, Season Two will introduce the “Frigate,” the largest ship yet seen in Skull and Bones. Finally, Season Four will unleash the mythical Kraken, allowing players to face the iconic sea monster.

These additions could be what Skull and Bones needs to finally capture the attention it deserves after its extended development. In a time where live-service games are frequently canceled, the game’s continued survival is noteworthy.

This new roadmap offers a promising future for Skull and Bones after a long development, significant investment, and a mixed launch. Ubisoft’s commitment and player feedback-driven improvements could change the game’s trajectory in Year Two. All eyes are now on the release of PvP and the details surrounding land battles.
