Painkiller Remake Announced: Classic FPS Returns After 21 Years!
Get ready to relive the chaotic fun! The classic first-person shooter, Painkiller, originally released in April 2004, is making a comeback with a full remake. Announced during the Future Games Show, the updated version promises a fresh take on the demon-slaying action we loved.
Developed by Anshar Studio (with support from Saber Interactive), who previously contributed to titles like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Silent Hill 2, the Painkiller remake is built on Unreal Engine 5. It’s scheduled for release this fall on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The Story:
Trapped in Purgatory, you’re given a chance to redeem yourself by stopping the exiled angel Azazel from unleashing his demonic armies upon the world. Battle hordes of enemies, powerful demons, and the Nephilim, Azazel’s formidable offspring.
