Cancelled Ultimate Spider-Man 2: New Details

Ultimate Spider-Man 2: The Lost Game and Its Ambitious Story

A canceled sequel to the popular Ultimate Spider-Man game, Ultimate Spider-Man 2, is back in the spotlight years after its development was halted in the mid-2000s. Developer Ian Hosfield, who worked on the first game, has revealed fascinating details about the ambitious project.

This unreleased game was set to feature a wide range of familiar characters from the Marvel Universe and a compelling storyline.

The game’s core narrative was based on the “Death of a Goblin” comic book arc. Interestingly, Green Goblin was planned as a playable character, driven by the mission to rescue his son, Harry Osborn, from government custody. Similar to Venom’s intertwined storyline with Peter Parker in the first game, Green Goblin’s narrative would unfold in parallel, offering a darker and more unconventional perspective.
