Denuvo Removed from inZOI After Player Backlash

inZOI Ditches Denuvo After Player Backlash: A Win for Modders?

inZOI, the highly anticipated life simulation game and a potential rival to the Sims series, is generating significant buzz, especially after addressing concerns about anti-piracy measures.

Originally, inZOI was planned to include Denuvo, a controversial anti-tamper technology often criticized for impacting game performance and hindering modding. However, after listening to player feedback, the developers announced they’ve removed Denuvo from the game.

The studio acknowledged that while Denuvo was initially chosen to protect against piracy and ensure fairness for paying customers, they realized it conflicted with the players’ desires.

While removing Denuvo increases the risk of piracy, as seen with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, which was cracked on launch day, the developers believe it’s a worthwhile trade-off. They prioritize open communication with their community and enabling extensive modding capabilities for inZOI.

This decision allows players to freely customize and enhance their inZOI experience, fostering creativity and long-term engagement within the community. The developers believe this open approach outweighs the potential risks associated with piracy.

inZOI’s Denuvo-free version is set to release soon. Stay tuned for more updates and our early access review of this promising new life sim.
